2nd Annual "Buy A Shirt, Give A Ball" Fundraiser Returns For Holiday Season

by Wendell Maxey

Last year, Full Court Peace launched a holiday fundraiser focused on a basic three step concept: make a small contribution, receive a limited time Full Court Peace holiday T-Shirt and we donate a basketball to underprivileged Connecticut youth in Norwalk, Bridgeport and Stamford on your behalf.

The initiative was a success. Thanks to those who gave generously throughout December, received a T-Shirt and our partners at Wilson Basketball, kids from the Carver Center in Norwalk and McGivney Community Center in Bridgeport were left with a memorable holiday season. And now for the second-straight year, we return with our "Buy A Shirt, Give A Ball" fundraiser in hopes of making a wider impact for youth and in our communities through the game of basketball this month.

This year, the fundraiser is made even easier with efforts going to support more centers within Fairfield County thanks to our sponsors:

  • T-Shirts are only $25 and available in two colors (Green/Blue), prints (Christmas/Chanukah) and eight various sizes.

  • Get yours now by placing your order on our Full Court Peace Type Form page. We will send you a confirmation once we have processed your order.

  • We will mail your T-Shirt and also distribute a new Wilson Basketball in your name to one of our participating organizations around Fairfield County: McGivney Center (Bridgeport), Carver Center (Norwalk), Wakeman Boys & Girls Club (Bridgeport chapter) and Trailblazers Academy/Domus (Stamford).

  • A huge thank you to our two partners for this holiday T-Shirt and basketball fundraiser: Wilson Basketball and Bruno DiFabio, who owns and operates 10 pizzerias including Bronx House Pizza Pie (Stamford) and Pinocchio’s Pizza (New Canaan/Wilton).

"You hold a new Wilson basketball in your hands and then suddenly when you give it to a kid as a gift and it’s no longer just a basketball. It’s a world of opportunity," said Full Court Peace Founder and Executive Director, Mike Evans.

"None of this is possible, however, without people caring enough to make a difference this holiday season and amazing partners like Bruno DiFabio and Wilson Basketball."

Our Full Court Peace T-Shirts make great holiday gifts, with proceeds going to help give to those kids in need. Not only does a little boy or girl receive a gift this season, but your generosity also benefits our other upcoming FCP outreach trips to Cuba and Belfast after the new year and future year-round Full Court Peace events.

Thank you!
